  I was in the office earlier this week for an appointment with Dr. Arleo. I had a great encounter with the woman at the front desk who verified all of my information and took my insurance cards and co-pay. I was then called back by an assistant who took all kinds of medical information and checked my vision- very knowledgeable and thorough. I then go to another waiting area and wait- just for a short time and a young woman called my name and escorted me to a room to see Dr. Arleo. I waited in the room for some time..... (I've been a patient here for some time, I know the wait time and still come back- it's worth the wait). My exam was a little out of the ordinary, as Dr. Arleo looked at me to "excuse himself" and started basically tearing this woman that works for him apart...very sarcastically asking if she understands...it doesn't appear to me that it was anything to do with the woman in the room, but rather about something somebody else in the office did to upset him. Call me crazy, but belittling your staff in front of a patient is about as unprofessional as you can get. I was extremely uncomfortable sitting in this room listening to him speak to her in the tone of voice he was using. My wife and I both come to this practice and have for several years, however I think it's time to look for another office. Its no longer a mystery to me why there's different staff every year when I go for my appointment.
